As you probably already know, there are two tables for contacts: Persons and Organizations
Given that Organizations is also intended as “Accounts” and the label can be renamed, There are two approaches, and the approach you choose also depends on how your business is organized.
- You could rename the Organization(s) label to Account(s). The Account/Organization name will match the Person’s name. We suggest this solution if you also have business customers. This way your data is more clear.
- You can give up using the Organizations table (you can always use it if you need to work with businesses) and create custom fields in the Persons table to receive the person’s mailing address.
If you sell to individuals and prefer not to link them to an Organization (Account), you could include an address field in the Persons database. For instance, you can add a textarea. Here’s an example of how it would appear on the person’s page:
